Background

Ryan King is a Gainesville, FL native who grew up in both Gainesville and Knoxville, TN. He is a proud double alumnus of the University of Florida, earning his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, with honors, in 2009, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2013.

Ryan is a transactional attorney who represents clients across a broad spectrum of business and corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and general business transactions. He regularly advises clients on corporate governance, entity formation, contracts, leases, and healthcare regulatory compliance. Ryan also works closely with early stage companies, helping founders and owners navigate strategic growth and operational structuring.

Prior to attending law school, Ryan was a letterwinner as a basketball manager for the Florida Gators men’s basketball program. In this role, he worked closely with the coaching staff on a variety of player personnel and game preparation issues. He was a member of the 2006 and 2007 national championship teams and remains close with the team nearly two decades later.

During law school, Ryan served as a summer associate at Hall & Lampros, LLP in Atlanta, GA and worked as intern with Allegiant Athletic Agency in Knoxville, TN. Prior to joining Milam Howard, he owned and managed his own firm, focusing on corporate compliance and transactional matters related to medical and veterinary practice acquisitions.

Outside of the office, Ryan holds his private pilot license and plans to continue flying recreationally to pursue additional pilot ratings. When he is not practicing law or flying an airplane, he enjoys attending sporting events, spending time with his family and his two young children, Cameron and Caleb, and taking advantage of the golf courses and beaches around Jacksonville.
